Rules and Regulations for Participation
By signing up for the Event, the Participant agrees to follow all the race Rules and Regulations stipulated by of Organizer.
Participants run solely at their own risk and the Organizer will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising during or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Event Day. Participants are advice to obtain Personal Accident insurance for their own protection.
1. COLLECTION OF RACE PACKS
All Participants must collect their race entry pack as stated in the details. If Participants are unable to collect their race entry pack in person, another authorized person may do so for them upon informing the Organizers and/or the race registration via their email.
Late collection of Race Entry Packs will not be entertained (after race date) and the Organizers shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to Participants’ inability to collect their Race Kit. It is the sole responsibility of the Participant to collect their Race Kit during the stated collection period.
Uncollected Race Packs will be deemed as unwanted, and the Organizers shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly. After registration, there will be no fee refund for Participants who do not eventually take part in the event, for any reasons whatsoever.
Registered participants “race bib” collection date:
18 April 2018 – 9am to 6pm at Mardec HQ
19 & 20 April 2018 – 9am to 6pm at MPSB Mentakab
21 April 2018 – 6.45am to 7.15am at MPSB Mentakab (special cases)
2. LEAVE NO RUBBISH
Please do not leave any of your rubbish etc. along the race course. Participants will be disqualified for littering if caught during the race.
3. RACE COURSE AND CUT OFF TIMES (COT)
The COT for this 5KM run is 2 hours. In case of runners not being able to continue the race due fatigue or health reason please proceed to the nearest check point. A marshal will be there to help you.
No pacer is allowed for this race, only participant wearing the bib will be allowed to run the race.
4. QUITTING THE RACE
Except in cases of serious injury, participants must exit the competition only at the designated checkpoints. At the time of leaving the race, participants must immediately hand in their race bib to the race Marshal.
Race marshals will be located throughout the race course at water stations point and checkpoints and will be authorized to enforce race regulations.
6. RACE BIB
All runners need to pin up their race bib in front during the race. The bib should be visible for the marshal to inspect them during the race.
The Organizer will not entertain nor be responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
7. RESULTS AND PRIZES
The organiser’s decision is final. No disputes will be entertained.
8. RACE COURSE MODIFICATIONS, MODIFICATIONS OF TIME LIMITS OR RACE CANCELLATION
The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Event routes as the Organizer deems fit for the safety of the runners and/or to prevent any potential hazards during the race at any time without prior notice to the Participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participants. If the Event has to be cancelled or postponed, there shall be no refunds of fees paid (if applicable) and the Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
Participants upon registration hereby waived their rights to take any legal action whether or not contractual or negligence or under any laws or enactment against Organizer for any loss, injury and damage pertaining to their participation in the event.Please
10. REGISTERTION FEE
Please be informed that for all other participants (Non-MARDEC staff & non-resident of Mentakab) a registration fee of RM10 is payable to complete your registration.The fee is not refundable or transferable.
