Tuan Syed Mahdhar Syed Hussain

Syed Mahdhar is a scientist with more than 34 years of experience in the agriculture industry. He began his career in 1985 as an Agricultural Technologist in the oil palm, rubber, and cocoa sectors at Guthrie Group Berhad, where he served until 2007. He held the position of QA/QC Manager from 1992 to 1995, followed by roles as QA/QC and Safety Senior Manager from 1995 to 1999 before assuming the role of Total Quality and Environmental Management System (TQEMS) General Manager in 2001.
Following a merger in 2007, he was appointed as the Vice President of Quality, Safety & Sustainability (PSQM) at Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, where he served for approximately 5 years. He then became the Director of Standards and Compliance Division at Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Berhad in 2012.

Norul Huda bin Abdul Thamin is a seasoned professional in the field of rubber technology and quality management, with a diverse skill set and a wealth of experience spanning several decades. In 1986, Norul Huda earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Polymer Science and Technology (Hons) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for his future career in the rubber industry. Norul Huda’s skill set encompasses a wide range of technical expertise and business acumen. He possesses in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the processing and production of natural rubber (NR) latex and rubber products. This expertise includes various aspects of rubber processing, from formulation to final product development. Norul Huda has a keen analytical mind and the ability to interpret processing and laboratory data effectively. This skill is crucial for maintaining product quality and optimizing production processes. Norul Huda’s career journey has been marked by significant leadership roles and contributions in various organizations. As the General Manager of the Quality Department, he oversaw production, quality control, and marketing of green rubber, as well as the production and quality control of palm oil and palm olein under the Saji brand. His responsibilities also included managing product development from green rubber and ENR latex.
