Mardec gives back to society through CSR programme during Ramadhan & Hari Raya festive.
Kuala Lumpur: Mardec’s commitment to increase effort in giving back to the community and improve workers productivity through the spirit of Ramadhan and Hari Raya were mirrored through its recent corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme for rubber smallholders.
4 SMR factories and 1 latex factory took part in this programme, including MPSB Mentakab, MPSB Baling, MPSB Bota, MPSB Kuala Berang, and MIL Tapah.
Jointly-organised by Yayasan Al-Bukhary, the CSR activity was conducted by distributing 1000 packs of groceries items (200 packets for each factory), including sugar, rice and cooking oil. Raw Material & Procurement team personally “Turun Padang” to distribute the packs to the selected smallholders.
“This programme is in line with Mardec’s 50th anniversary celebration next year, where we want to give back to the rubber smallholder community that continuously supply raw materials to Mardec factories’’,said Nurhanisadha, one of the programme organisers.
